Chick-fil-A Freedom of Speech?

http://www.teenjury.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/freedom-of-speech.jpg
What is marriage? A debatable question between a religious groups and homosexuals.  A biblical view on marriage is when a man and a women (opposite sex) become a husband and a wife consensual and contractual recognized by a law.  Where, the culture and the support from the government define marriage as "the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage, same-sex marriage" (Merriam-Webster).  For few years now, media, the influential people in Hollywood and in businesses, and few people in government were pressuring the biblical definition of marriage to redefine so homosexual can be accepted in the community.

The debate arose when the law, "Don't ask, don't tell," that "was the official United States policy on homosexuals serving in the military from December 21, 1993," and ended on September 20, 2011  (Wiki) was terminated. This sparked a debate not only in the congress but also among the military leaders.  Then the California Proposition 8 comes in.  "By restricting the recognition of marriage to opposite-sex couples, the proposition overturned the California Supreme Court's ruling of In re Marriage Cases that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry" (wiki).  So little by little, instead of respecting two sides, the advocates for same sex marriage had a drivers seat in the media, and in culture.  Accusing those who support marriage between a man and a woman as gay hatters.  This created an unfair environment in the culture.  It made it seem that if the person supports the same sex marriage, for him it would be appropriate to state that, nobody would be say: you hate religion.  However, if the person supports the marriage between an man and a women, then it's not OK, he's anti gay, and is accused of being mean.  Defiantly something is wrong with this picture.  If America supports freedom of speech, then suppressing the voice of those who support the biblical definition of marriage, does not reflect freedom of speech.

Recently, there had been big turnaround in the media supporting the freedom of speech.  It was done by Dan Cathy's, who is the CEO of Chick-Fil-A restaurant, coming out publicly in support toward biblical view of marriage.  Because of his stand on marriage, thousands supporters came out on Wednesday, that was a "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."  There were long lines, drive thru became a problem, but people voiced their voice.  Another words, those who play a politician game, now need to adjust towards freedom of speech instead of supporting one group.

I believe that a marriage is between a man and a woman, just because it is written in the scripture, God defined marriage in the Bible.  But have said this, I don't go an hate homosexuals.  Homosexual is sin and so is drunkenness and adultery.  It is my faith in God and his word, formulates the definition of marriage.  God said, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24).  Now what's wrong with me proclaiming my faith when I am asked?  What's wrong with me stating what bible states about homosexuals?  Isn't that a freedom of speech?

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them." (Romans 1:18-32)

Towards His Glory!

Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scripture

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures ,  that he was buried , that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,   and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.  Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.   Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.   Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.   For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.   But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.   Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.  (1 Corinthians 15:3)

The Last Moments of Christopher Hitchens life

Christopher Hitchens is one of the leading atheist of our times, they call it the new atheism now.  He also is the author of a book, “God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything,” that was just recently released; heavily opposing religion and any idea that God exist.  But right now Mr Hitchens is in his last stages of the esophageal cancer.  The New Your Time describes his last moments of life like this: “Some of these articles were written with the full consciousness that they might be my very last. Sobering in one way and exhilarating in another, this practice can obviously never become perfected.”  Another words, Hitchens has little time left. Smoking and drinking was something that Hitchens needed to quit, life was more important then the pleasures of these habits, not mentioning that he had a feeding tube installed since June.  He had power in articulating his worldview to others, the ideas, but were these thoughts the reality of our world? Why Job DID NOT cursed God?

http://www.skybluevaping.co.za/image/data/journal/1383-1.jpg The tone of the conversation was different when Satan appeared before God second time. Not because Satan repented or agreed with God, but because his hypothesis fell short.  Satan just destroyed Jobs wealth and his children (seven sons and three daughters) using evil men, fire, and wind arguing that this was the reason why Job served God in the first place. Job response to his lost was not a cursing God attitude but a humble worship.  “ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return.  The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord ” (Job 1:20).    When Satan appears before God second time, God asked him the same question as he did in the first conversation,  "' Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and ...
